Paragon Irrigation LLC ("Paragon Irrigation", "we", "us", or "our") operates the FieldMaster mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By creating an account or using the App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information (provided by you at signup)

1.2 Farm and Irrigation Data (created by you during use)

Farm names, boundaries, and GPS coordinates
Irrigation zone configurations and valve schedules
Irrigation program settings (start times, durations, crop types)
Notes and labels you attach to farms or zones

1.3 Location Data

Precise location (GPS) — collected once during device commissioning to record the controller's installation coordinates. Also used to auto-fill farm location during farm creation. Requires your permission.
Coarse location — derived from farm GPS coordinates you enter; used to fetch local weather forecasts and satellite imagery.

1.4 Device and Hardware Identifiers

Bluetooth (BLE) identifiers used during controller provisioning.
ThingsBoard device tokens assigned to your irrigation controllers.
Controller serial numbers and firmware versions.

1.5 Controller Telemetry

Your FieldMaster controller automatically sends operational data to our servers, including:

Valve and digital I/O states (on/off)
Network signal strength (Wi-Fi RSSI, cellular CSQ)
Device uptime and free memory
Firmware version and hardware variant
Online heartbeat pulses

1.6 Usage and Technical Data

App interactions (screens visited, features used)
Error logs and crash reports (stored locally on your device only)
App version and iOS/Android version

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with advertising networks.

3. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

ThingsBoard — our IoT platform provider, which stores device telemetry and account data on servers we operate.
Cloudflare — our content-delivery and proxy infrastructure provider. API requests pass through Cloudflare Workers; Cloudflare does not retain your payload data.
Open-Meteo — receives farm GPS coordinates (no account data) to return local weather forecasts. Open-Meteo's terms apply.
Copernicus / Sentinel Hub — receives farm boundary coordinates to retrieve satellite vegetation imagery. No personally identifying information is shared.
Legal authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and farm data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the App (Settings → Delete Account), we permanently delete:

Your user account and login credentials
Your ThingsBoard customer entity and all associated data
All device records, telemetry history, farm assets, and zone configurations
All server-side profile attributes (name, email, phone, date of birth, address)

Deletion is processed within 7 days. Some anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. total number of active users) may be retained for statistical purposes and cannot be linked back to you.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — update or correct inaccurate data (via Settings → Profile in the App).
Deletion — delete your account and all associated data (via Settings → Delete Account).
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing communications at any time (via Settings → Profile → Marketing Preferences or by emailing us).

6. Security

We protect your data using:

TLS (HTTPS) encryption for all data in transit
JWT tokens stored in the iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences
PIN protection with SHA-256 hashing and per-device salt
Cloudflare proxy keys to prevent unauthorised API access

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take commercially reasonable precautions to protect your information.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for professional agricultural use and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@paragonirrigation.com and we will delete it.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The App displays map tiles from ArcGIS / Esri and may link to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. Please review their respective privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, through an in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance.
